NEW DO-IT-YOURSELF PLANS CONVERT ANY PICKUP INTO A DUMPTRUCK

DENVER, Colorado, March 8, 2002
-- When independent refuse haulers Tim Lovato and his sons Jerome and Anthony grew tired of unloading debris from the bed of their pickup truck, they decided to use brains instead of brawn. The result: a patented set of plans to build a quick release bed liner that would do the back-breaking work for them.

Now Lovato and sons are marketing their product, the FasDump® quick release bed liner, by eliminating the middle man: production. Instead of manufacturing and shipping their FasDump product, they’re selling the patented plans via the internet and passing on the savings to smart D-I-Yers.

"There are a lot of businesses like ours -- landscape companies, roofers, farmers, construction contractors -- that do a lot of hauling and can benefit from our product. Not only our we saving them time, we’re saving them money by selling the instruction assembly package ($12.95 plus $5.95 S&H), which they can use to purchase additional materials from any hardware store and build a unit -- or multiple units -- themselves," Tim Lovato says.

According to Lovato, a FasDump bed liner can be easily built for $125 - $350 depending on materials used. "Plastic is more expensive than plywood, but lasts longer. Either way, the liner is easily removable from the truck bed."
